1eyebrow
Please note - I'm not asking how to change fonts. What I'm looking for is the best solution for adding a non standard font in prestashop. There are a few java and flash scripts that will replace the font with images and revert to html if they fail. But they are not designed to work in prestashop. If anyone else has added a non-standard font, please take a second to explain what solution that you used. Besides the global.css file are there other files that must be edited if you use a java or flash solution? If you haven't tryed this but know a few things about prestashop's guts, do you foresee any conflicts or special steps, and could flash be incompatible with how prestashop renders a page?Any help would be great. If I solve the issue myself I'll post more details to help the next person out.
FattyJoe
The best way I think is the cover-up span or another image-replacement tecnique. I don't feel the scripts for changing fonts, and use non-standard font for large block of text is a deprecated practice, because some visitors could view strange effects and not understand the text. For a simple or another "title" tag it's so easy to make a simple image-replacement My 2 cent
1eyebrow
Thanks for the suggestion Fatty. I am building a store for a client that will continue to add his own categories and products and each new item in your suggestion would then require a manual install of an image, so for me in my situation its just not a feasible solution. I have to create a package that is autonomous. And hopefully not too laggy.I would love to render all the font in the website in this font however I will settle for just categories @ titles if it impacts the page load times to drastically. Thanks for the response Fatty.
