1.4.9 Theme compatibility with PE 1.4.7.3 & PS 1.4.7 x

Hi

 

I have installed Prestashop 1.4.9 - the latest version of Prestashop, I am thinking of buying a third party theme that mentioned that it is compatible with the:

 

PrestaShop Engine:

1.4.7.3

PrestaShop Compatibility:

1.4.7.x

 

will it still be compatible with the latest version 1.4.9?

 

Has there been changes so significant that it wouldn't work?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wish I had an answer to this also. I have looked every where on the compatibility issue. There seems to be nothing either way.

And very few 1.4.9 templates.

Any one that knows the answer to this question, it would be greatly appreciated.

hi you can only give it a try ,

but would if i was you first try some free themes ,

 

my experience on this , i tried several themes for 1.4.7

some are working smoothly and some gives you grey hair due the errors you got

 

but before you do some testing ,, backup your hosting and database

after trying and doesn't work ,

delete first then from your hosting the themes folder and the modules folder before you put the backup back cause otherwise the files what are included in the themes will stay on your hosting ,,

May I ask where are you wanting to buy the theme? I would make sure that if it's not compatible that they will either fix it or refund you. Also make sure this 3rd party is credible and is known for their themes. I spent a lot of time before i purchased one to make sure all was ok and offer these types of services.
