how to modify display of home featured

Hi

 

I'm using Prestashop V. 1.4.9.0, a new shop, not live yet. I want to change how home featured products module displays on the home page, to make it horizontal - single wide column with items stacking downwards, pretty much exactly like they display in the category products screen. I'm thinking I will end up editing homefeatured.tpl but I'm nervous about it.

 

Can anyone suggest an easy way to get the way the products display on the category products list screen onto home featured products? I know css and html but I'm not a php coder.

I can't give you the change but can tell you where to look.

 

modules/homefeatured/homefeatured.tpl is your base layout.

it uses .css from (yourtheme)/css/global.css

 

in the global .css you can find the css definitions for homefeatured.tpl

 

hope that gets you started ...make sure to back up any files you modify, and if you modify the .tpl, remember to force smarty compile in back office-->performance
