bdflynn
Hi everybody, I'm using PrestaShop as a way for the members in my volunteer organization to place orders for products that I then pick up for them. I need to be able to have the member's accounts which I will be creating available for them to use, but I don't want anybody to be able to create a new account. Is there a way to hide the "Create Your Account" form? Your help is very much appreciated, D'Arcy
Carlsen
You could do it with CSS, by applying display:none to the Account Create form. This will prevent regular visitors from creating an account, but "malicious visitors" will be able to submit the form. Are you using a custom theme or standard Prestashop? math_php
You can also remove {$HOOK_CREATE_ACCOUNT_FORM} from the authentication.tpl, file location depends on Are you using a custom theme or standard Prestashop?
bdflynn
Sorry for the delay, our internet has been down for a few days and we just got it back up and running. I'm using the generic theme that prestshop comes with.
bdflynn
I just applied the CSS to the form, that seems to do the trick. Thanks Carlsen. I tried removing the hook, well I commented it out, but the form still worked which just confused me.
math_php
Sure, I was wrong, just removing the hook is not enough. There is a lot more of smarty and html to remove.
