My block cart is now in english (it was in french)

Hey

 

I was working on my theme, and wanted to override the block cart. So I added the blockcart module folder to my theme folder in which I added the template of the cart.

 

Since then my cart is now in english.

 

How can I modify the language of it ?

hi ,

just copy the french language file from the original prestashop theme (shopping cart module )

into your theme (shopping cart module )

 

this will solve your problem

Hey sorry for the long wait. I was on something totally different.

 

I've just tried that copied : fr.php from /modules/blockcart to themes/mytheme/modules/blockcart

 

But that doesn't work. It is still in english. Do you have any idea what else it can be ?

Hi did you do also force compile ?

 

and empty your cache ?

Yes and i'm not using cache !

 

By the way since I did this, I can't access to the translation panel, it stays empty :

it is not that cache you ment ,,,

 

Force compile and clear cache :

you can do this in your Back Office

go to

Preferences ---> Performance

then Compile force yes , and Cache No

then save ,

after you have to compile force No and cache yes

then save ..

did you also changed the rights from FR.php ? in 777

 

another try you can do is the next one it takes the original bockcart

 

change themes/yourtheme/modules/blockcart

 

in

themes/mytheme/modules/---blockcart

than do force compile like i explained abouve

it can also be your browser cache that need to refreshed
