fionapain
Solved after countless headaches and getting little or no help I resolved the problem. what you need to do is log in to your service account (host service) on the c_panel look for web redirect. Initially I tried to redirect http://www.......yoursite/index.php to http://www....yoursite/index However, this didn't work it has to be redirected to http://www.....yoursite.com/
fionapain
Hi resolved this problem after several headaches go to hosting log in goto www redirects redirect the faulty link from http://wwwyoursite.com/index to http://www.yoursite.com/ should work fine if you don't have redirect on your hosting package ask your service provider to redirect. alternatively it can be done through htaccess file though I found this quite complicated good luck Thank moderator but I had already found a solution thanks all the same Edited November 22, 2012 by fionapain (see edit history)
