Sub-Domains, how do I use for Affiliates

Hi,

I need to offer my Affiliates their own sub-domains to connect them with their customers/sales but I am having some troubles with sub-domain usage.

 

I have added a sub-domain for each affiliate via the Backoffice->Tools->Subdomains.

 

If you then go to say http://fred.domain.com/api/customers that will show in the URL as that, but if you go to http://fred.domain.co or to one of the product pages using the sub-domain you get http://www.domain.co plus any product link is used.

 

Using the sub-domains as described above is essential for what I am doing.

 

Any suggestions for solving this? Maybe it is a modification to the htaccess file but I would prefer other.
