horsetags
Hi, Just trying out your demo and using your guest checkout, it is telling me i cannot see Payment options until i sign in? I have looked on the forum but cannot see anything about this. I am using Chrome, but it is the same on Firefox. Thanks Paul
Mike Kranzler
Hi Paul, The demo is configured to not allow orders or payment, which is why you get stuck there. But if you would like to know more about all the default payment options, you can learn more here or see a list of the various options pre-installed by default here. I hope this helps. -Mike
horsetags
Hi Mike, Thanks for the explanation and info. I wonder how many other people see that, don't ask, and go away, which is a pity. Again, thanks for replying I'm about to install and play tonight :-) Paul
Mike Kranzler
Have fun! We do have a warning about this at the top of the demo, as you can see here, but maybe we need to consider enlarging it if there appears to be a number of users having this issue. -Mike

coverman
Forget it Mike. Did it. Clicking in guest and filling information I have to save the data first. Thanks

barto89
I'm glad you were able to resolve this! Happy selling! -Mike Dear Mike, Is there any way to not make customers press the save button, it feels unnatural and ive had numerous customers who left because they did not know what to do when they saw the message in the bottom stating to login first.. I dont know the difference between demo, but my site is live and selling goods, so its production..
horsetags
it is one of the things stopping me use prestashop. The most important thing is simplicity and this adds a question mark into the customers thinking. Pity there is not a simpler way round it as the paid checkout add on doesn't need it.... Yeah I have a shop for almost a month now, but so many problems arise.. Yesterday people werent able to check out as a guest because i had the 5 step check out enabled.. So instead of a solution, i was provided with a workaround by using 1 page checkout, now new things arise.. It drives me crazy and I spend to much time on those stupid bugs instead of selling my products..
horsetags
to be honest, if you have your site up and running and have spent time you don't want be wasted, have a look at the add on's for the 1 page checkout, as could well a way to solve your problems. You just have to weigh the cost of buying it against loss of customers (or go with something different.) Personally, I expect to have to pay something towards a shop, but there are other issues where i am concerned with prestashop (which i accept is down to me not being a programmer) which has made me look elsewhere - but that has cost me (acceptable to me) about £180 for a basic setup, is more work than prestashop, but more flexible, but you do need to be aware of html, php mysql etc, (and the more aware, the better :-)
