barajaj
I uploaded a new theme, (MATRICE) but I don't know how to configure this theme. I want to change the home page, but when I try to change it via home page editor, I don't see an option of where I would change the pictures or anything like that. I also need to edit the categories at the top. I am new at this, and I would appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks. http://wheretemptationsbegin.com
CartExpert.net
Hello, The images and text seem to displayed by a different module, than the home page editor. You should search for a slideshow module in your back office. What do you want to edit at the categories?
Paul1568
I don't think you can change the images and text in a module in the back office, but you can change the images in the following directory prestashop/themes/matrice/modules/editorial/images. Just replace images 1-4 with your images. I haven't got around to editing the text yet, but it is probably in a file in the same directory (editorial)
SPH1
I'm a Zencart user who is just now playing with Prestashop. Your site/template looks like what I've run in to when trying to switch templates: pieces of the previous template remain. Right now, it looks like a little Matrice and alot of the default template. I solved problem by deleting the modules specific to the prior template in main module folder. But that is just my hack, I probably don't know how to switch templates properly. My test presta site: http://www.prom-mart.com/ Matrice template as I write this, who knows what in awhile. PS: The terms and conditions popup did not work on Matrice until I followed a post and disabled the order_address .js in the Matrice js folder. But like with other post, don't know what else it may affect. I do think Matrice the best looking free template for Presta I've yet come across. A good looking template period. Just hope no further issues.
xtremeserve
I am very new in Prestashop and now I am starting building a shop using the theme of matrice. I managed to change the image for the slider, but how do I chnage the text in the dark area? or can I remove the dark area, just remain the slider images? TheDoubleTap
Hello I gave you an anwser here : http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/112117-solutions-theme-matrice-14/page__st__580
materiel de sablage
Forget about Matrice Theme , you'll have a lot of work to do in the code before you can really use it in your store. Many people tried it (like i did) and finally changed to another one. This one is a bit buggy to me.
Yzzy
I've used it and changed it for clients and it works fine.

Yzzy
Hi, Can I add more images to the slidebar? and how can i do that? Tq. Yes, In the matrice/modules/editorial folder look for folder images and add your new ones to that.. keep them as 1,2,3,4 etc etc for simplicity. Then in file editorial.tpl look around line 39 for <div id="home_slideshow"> Scroll down until you get to the very last </span> </li> After </li> add the following: <li style="position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; display: none; z-index: 1; opacity: 0;"> <a href="http://www.destination link"> <img src="{$base_dir}themes/matrice/modules/editorial/images/4.jpg" alt="image" /> </a> <span class="slide_caption"> {l s='CHILDREN'} <br /> <a href="http://www.destination link" class="link"> {l s='More' mod='editorial'} </a> </span> </li> Where it says 'more' you can add more text if you wish or keep it as just 'more' for a cleaner look. 4.jpg is just an example.. you can change the image name. Dj T
Hi Yzzy, I want to have more than just 4 images in the matrice theme slidebar. I want to have at least 10 images. How can I do that? I tried your method but it didn't work! Tq.
Yzzy
define 'didn't work' if you paste the above code into the above file then it should work so long as you have the images in the images folder. If you can;t see any changes you will need to go to preferences > performance > change force compile to yes and cache to no
Dj T
Hi, Yzzy, I did exactly as you have kindly mentioned above, but still I cant see any changes. I do have a warning under preferences>performances> "To use Memcached, you must install the Memcache PECL extension on your server. http://www.php.net/m...nstallation.php" Btw, my slide bar isn't moving anymore its frozen! Can you help me on that? Tq Edited August 8, 2012 by Dj T (see edit history)
Yzzy
Hiya! OK the force compile and cache should be at the TOP of that page... the cache at the bottom set to no or red x... You wont see any changes while force compile is off and cache is on...

I've attempted to update the editorial.tpl file a zillion times, but it still shows the default lorem ipem text. I've turned off cache and hit the green yes button for smarty force compile, but it does not help. any advice? mypaintballworld.net
