Single Database, Multiple Websites?

Hey.

 

I am a new user of Prestashop and have been playing around with it but can't seem to figure something out.

 

I want to create multiple stores that all derive product information from a central store website.

 

For instance, the main store would have product database A. It would have categories A1, A2, A3 and so on. Every category would have all the products I would have available for sale and would have information such as descriptions, images, pricing, etc;

 

Then I would have Sub-Store 1, Sub-store 2, Sub-store 3. Each store would get a different category. Sub-store 1 would use A1, Sub-store 2 would use A2, and so on.

 

They would all be hosted on the same server.

 

As a note, would all the product information, such as quantity, automatically be synced? For instance, if Sub-Store 1 got an order, would the quantity automatically be deducted from the Mai Store?

The next Full version V1.5.0 will have multi-store functionality. It's actually due to be release any time now (end Nov) although I haven't been following it's progress.
