Using another module with editorial as base... how?

I need an editorial module... named like anything else (because the current theme uses his own editorial module)...

So, I have duplicated the editorial directory to one called editorialized... then in EditorialClass.php, editorial.php, editorial.tpl, es.php, changed all the editorial strings to editorialized & EDITORIAL strings to EDITORIALIZED...

Zipped that directory... added it using the module upload... and it is not showed at all

What is wrong? wich is the correct way to do something like this?
