SSNet Inc
Shop v. 1.4.x When a customer tries to create an account, they get the error that the Birthday is required, even if that data is supplied. The field is not marked as required (no red asterisk). First, where can you control what fields are required on the customer create an account form? Second, any one have any ideas on why it will not accept the data for birthday - no matter what - therefore preventing customers from registering? http://www.biograframe.com/ - try to register as a customer to see the error. SSNet Inc
Also, is there a way to simply remove that field and it being required? Most people don't want to provide that data because of privacy issues.
SSNet Inc
OK - I figured out how to remove the actual Date of Birth fields from the create account form (themes/(custom theme)/authentication.tpl - but obviously, the field is still required. Does anyone know what file (in version 1.4.x) controls what fields are required? To be specific, If I submit a blank create account form - it spits this back: There are 7 errors : You must register at least one phone number lastname is required. password is required. firstname is required. birthday is required. address (1) is required. city is required. What file tells it which of the above fields are required so I can remove the requirement for birthday.

mikepattaya
Hi, Is there anyway I can remove the Address, Telephone, Zip Fields etc. As the people who DL from my shop just won't fill that in. My site offers licenced Opensim downloads, and all that info apart from Name & Email Address is not really a requirement. Cheers Mike

webplus
One client had this issue after upgrade from 1.4 to 1.5 - birthay was always required and client couldn't login even when he filled the field. I solved it by truncating the ps_required_field table in database, where was only one record (birthday).
