I am having problems with products list alignment. seems like smth wrong with product name(text) alignment.I have to use product name containing only 2lines of text if i want all products look like aligned. I am using "prestashop_1.4.6.2 + Velvet Sky theme (PS 1.4.6) by Captain FLAM". You can check the images attached. Any help is very appreciated!

Did you remove the 'Add to Cart' button? If you want the 'View' button centered, open your themes/velvetsky/css/product_list

 

Find the code below:

Hi I was wondering if you could help me. I am very impressed with your velvet sky theme and i am using it online at the moment but i wanted to check something with you as there seems to be a bug in the theme which stops the postage options being enabled when you change the billing address as a registered user.

 

If you visit www.we-do-bling.com and register for an account you will see that when you go to checkout there is a bug. If you click on use difference address it allows you to fill in the details however unticking this box means that the postage options are now disabled (underneath as this is a one page checkout) unless you refresh the page. I have checked with a prestashop expert who said that this is definately an error with the theme. Has anyone come across this before and could anyo ne help? Any help you could give me would be very much appreciated.

I have a problem with the velvetsky theme in www.queenfan.nl

I know it is crosspost, sorry for that.

 

 

I can only see pages 1, 2, 3 and 23, and always re-selecting singles, and there selecting page 1, 2, 3 and 23.

This will happen after i choose a submenu in the header menu, like Queen/singles http://queenfan.nl/en/11-queen

 

The following page or the page number disappears the moment you choose next or page 2 or 3

First off....this theme ROCKS! Thank you to the OP.

 

I have one little issue.

 

The home page is perfect. The product pages are perfect.

 

Any other page (categories, contact, specials, you name) all end up looking like this screencap.

I cannot say enough thanks to this amazing theme. But I am struggling with blockbanner module as the banner image (banner-de.jpg) shows only in categories but not on single product page and also not on CMS pages. I re-installed it, but nothing helpes. I have a test shop with same content but it works fine there as I use the original image file there? Any one can help me out? Thanks!!

Well, no thanks to the developer who ignored me completely, I figured this out.

 

Turns out this theme is NOT compatible with goodrelations v1.4. Now I have to make a decision which to keep.

 

It's a shame really. I know they aren't expected to support a free theme but to be completely ignored is maddening. Guess I won't be buying any of their paid themes any time soon (too bad cause they're awesome).

After delete and reinstall the whole store several times and endless tests, at leat I find out why the banner on product and CMS pages dispears. The reason is: as soon as you activate the friendly URL this problem will occur. I cannot explain why but I hope now finally the developer could offer a viable solution to deal this problem. Fianlly the feature friendly url is extreme important for ecommerce nowaday. Thansk for any suggestion of solution...

The developer hasn't answered ANY of my requests for help.

 

They obviously don't care to support something free. They'd rather you buy their paid themes.

 

My advice....find another theme made by a different company.

hi there, first you theme is awesome, exactly what i was looking for.. huge thanks.

Installing and setting up was no problem thanks to your good help here in the forum, even for a newbie like me.

After I installed all the modules and chose velvetsky as may theme, everything looked great, but then somehow after I refreshed the page a couple of times, after i tried out some changes on the global.css the logo banner somehow "fell" down one line, and the jbx menu bar went to the very left.

I have the same problem. Which version of PrestaShop are you using? I have 1.4.9 At the website the say that the theme should work with it. but not really good. Have you found a solution for that?

 

For everyone who has problems with the slider. I also had problems and kicked it out I now use the minicslider, which ist very easy to configurate, has more options and works perfect. Just download it for free, deactivate and delete the slideric/nivo slider and install and activate the minicslider/nivo slider and hook it on home page at second row.

I'm running 1.4.8.2. And according Velvet, this should work perfectly.

 

Unfortunately, no one gave me a solution. So I have not opened my shop yet because I'm waiting answer from someone knowledgeable man.

I have installed the new theme, it looks great as usual.

 

The only thing is that it seems not to be working properly with combinations. When I upload my .csv it always says that there are zero products available and it doesn't show the different variables: color, sizes and so on.

 

If I replace product.tpl in Velvetsky for product.tpl in the default theme I can see the quantity and variables, but the images disappear and the prices don't change when changing combination.

 

It would be lovely if you could solve this since I have no idea of php or databases.

I really need help customizing this theme. What are the sizes of home page header image and howdo I change it without buying additional plugin, is there any way?

What are the sizes of unlimited advertisement block images? I found where to replace the images in modules, but there is no size indicated.

 

What is the size of header that appear on internal pages? I found the width is 940 px, but what is the height?

Could somebody answer these questions.

Amazing theme.

For those still having difficulties with this. It seems the code was changed for featured-list.tpl on the newest version (12/26/13 today) and the previous code shown in this thread that was fixed is no longer there. 

 

It seems the creator changed the code to the fix that was provided here, but he left a mistake. People who know what they are doing may have fixed this on the spot. But I'm a newbie at this and it took me a good 2 hours to fix it. It may help another one like me.

 

on the featured-list.tpl look for 

<img src="{$link->getImageLink($product.link_rewrite, $product.id_image, 'combo_slider')}" alt="{$product.name|escape:html:'UTF-8'}"/></a>

 

change combo_slider by large_default.

Uninstall Combo slider, replace the file and reinstall

I really like the Velveltsky theme, however it doesn't seem to sit right with Prestashop 1.4.11.

I'm sticking with PS1.4.11 is because of the shipping module I've managed to fix for the Indonesian Market.

 

however, I'm stuck with the comboslider...the image is too big and its dragging the hover down....

manually, first upload the velvetsky into your prestashop themes folder, after upload all files inside modules folder into your prestashop /modules folder.

 

At your Back Office, choose preferences > appearance.
