How can i keep my shopping cart data after i check out ( so after payment step)

Hi,

I want to add another step after the payment step (which i already did) . Now the problem is when i check out a product (or products) , after the payment step (so bankwire or whatever) the shopping cart is cleared and an order is made . The making of the order is fine but i would like to keep the data of the shopping cart.

Does anybody know where i can edit it so that the shopping cart doesn't go blank after payment? i tried searching through so many files , controllers , php files , modules , ... but i didn't find it.
