[Solved] Adding JS by default

Hi there,
i was wondering how i can load a js file by default (aka: not hooking it thru module hook). Is it enough to place it in the js folder inside prestashop root?
The reason i'd like to do this is because i want my layout to expand and contract based on js, as described in this site
