[Solved] How to edit the contact form

How to change this to a text input field?

Been searching my A off but can't seem to find it.

I am not sure if my understanding is correct, because I don't understand the language appeared at the screenshot.
You can simply go the theme file to change SELECT tag to at TEXT field

YourSiteRoot/themes/YourSiteTheme/contact-form.tpl

That was the first thing I tried, and it didn't have any effect.

in fact nothing i changed in that code had any effect

But the reason for the text field is that i can't see any options when i expand the window. Any solution for that?

try to disable all caches and change force smarty to compile

references - performance tab

Hi Jeroen,

I just figured this one out. Go to "Employees" tab and select "Contacts". You should be able to add custom selections such as Customer Service, technical support, etc.

I hope this helps you or some other people out.

So, does anyone know how to add a phone number and address to the contact page? I'm thinking I have to manually edit the tpl file.. Opinions?

To Edit TEXT in contact form

Open contact-form.tpl from your FTP client (on server)

 

Edit file (make a backup first incase something goes wrong)

Save file after you make changes,

 

If your changes do not appear.....

 

In backend then go to PREFERENCES> PERFORMANCE> FORCE COMPILE to YES

 

Then SAVE

 

Refresh page and you should see your changes...

 

then back into PREFERENCES> PERFORMANCE> FORCE COMPILE to NO

and Save...

that's correct, in 1.5 PS versions this is the way to change all of this, everyone with the same question shuld follow the @josnyan instructions mentioned above

I am trying to edit the information - contact us-  link in the footer (various links footer...) in  prestashop/en/contact-us  but can't find the relevant module. It is not the shop info module.

you're trying to alter links in footer or contact us page?

if second, what exactly you want to change there?

Thank your for your reply. 

The web site is in 6 languages. I needed the 'contact us'  url in french. At the moment it is ;

http://rosieposy.fr/PrestaShop/fr/contact-us

and I would like it to be

 http://rosieposy.fr/PrestaShop/fr/contactez-nous. 

I need to change the url for each language.

I want to add a 'Phone Number' box inthe contact form and realised I could just edit the 'Order Reference' label to 'Phone Number'.  

However when I tested with a phone number it didn't work because the order reference box has to have a valid order reference in there.

Can anyone advise me how to switch off the command that requires a vaild order reference so customers can just enter a phone number there?

hello guys, i have a small problem on my contact form, in the area where the users should insert there email . its shown our email there and when i recieve meassages i see from me to me. how i can go to change that email or to write there some thing else " like insert your email " ? its the gray area of the field.
