Solved... sort of: Gateway Timeout on all my PSP modules when attempting to display the receipt page

Hi - I have moved my Prestashop 8.1 site to a new server - from cPanel to CWP.

Whenever I attempt to process a payment the screen eventually returns the error message

Gateway Timeout
The gateway did not receive a timely response from the upstream server or application

This happens on all 3 PSP modules I am running - PayPal, Opayo and Bank Transfer.

On Opayo and PayPal, the payments appear in the PSP's transactions.

I'm surprised this happens on Bank Transfers as this module does not transfer to an external PSP.

Any ideas

Hi, look at all modules hooked to xxxorderxxx hooks. May be they send data to external service... And change your php timeout. If you are in fpm mode you need to add settings in apache vhosts

So I tried everything to get this to work but to no avail, including:

• Installing a fresh version of Prestashop 8.2.0 with the demo data and without any modules
• Installing one PSP module at a time and deleting any others
• Turning off the firewall
• Turning off mod_security
• Checking all permissions
• Checking and changing PHP settings as recommended
• Trying different versions of PHP

Eventually, I reverted to a cPanel server and hey ho, everything is working fine.

I had loads of problems with the CWP server including:

• Permissions problems
• SSL problems on domains
• Perl scripts not running without major changes to the build by the hosting company
• Email filters not working
• Unable to create new cron jobs

I would not use a CWP server again.
