Issue with Email sending

Hi

I installed the latest Prestashop 8.1.7 and was using php 8.3 which I kept getting the below issue when ever I changed an order status

An error occurred while changing the status for order #1, or we were unable to send an email to the customer.

I thought it may be down to php8.3 so rebuilt server with php8.1 but still get the same error

If I set email to php or smtp both the same error, I cant even get test email to send
