Prestashop 1.7.8 Product Discounts Stopped Working

Product discounts has worked fine for me until today.  I tried to create a new discount and saved it.  Then it didn't show up under Discounts.  Eventually I chose an old discount and altered it to match the one I couldn't save and saved the changes.  When I go to Discounts, it shows with my new Discount name, but none of the rules I created got saved;  it's the same as the old discount.  I tried putting it in Debug mode and saw no errors.  So basically, in Product Discounts, I can't create and save anything new.  Appreciate any help.

Enter the control panel and look at the multiphp Selector. Should that be at 8 set it to 7.4 or even 7.2 depending on your shop version.
Reason being that you might work with a module which is not fir for 8.

Thanks Nickz,

I went in and changed it from 7.4 to 7.2.  That didn't work, so I then went into the PHP.ini editor and saved that to create a php.ini working with 7.2.  That did it!
