Hello,

on our web shop we get issue with not showing pictures for new products.
Also for old products picture working ok, but when we add new products there is issue. Pictures in backend are showing for all products.

When we disable Friendly URL we fixed these issue, but we need Friendly URL enabled because SEO.

Also we try to recreate .htaccess (turn off Friendy URL and then turn on, also we remove it from public_html), but without success.
We remove cache from var/cache folder inside prestashop.

Prestashop version 1.7.8.8, php7.4-fpm, WEB Server version: Apache/2.4.56 (Debian), Proxy server: nginx version: nginx/1.24.0,
Server version: 10.5.19-MariaDB-0+deb11u2 Debian 11 (our server panel is myVesta)

We notice these issue yesterday and when we check products we see that these issue is active for last few days.

Also we didnt make any changes in meantime on server or configuration (web, sql, php etc9 or Prestashop configuration. Also we didnt install any new modules.

Please advice, thank you.

Regards,

Hello,

why regenerate the thumbnails in the back office if I add new product and picture is not showing?

I can do that when I fix these issue with new products.

Thank you.

If you don't want to try, it's your choice. 👍

Do you create your products manually, or do you import them using Excel or from your ERP with a connector?

I have import module and also using excel, but when I get info about issue also I try to create manually with same result.

For example, some older products working fine:

Thank you, Regards

I've encountered the same problem with a client before. The issue was due to the import of products—thumbnails weren't generated as expected when products were created programmatically.

I strongly encourage you to regenerate your product thumbnails, even if you don't want to.

You can back up the img/p/ directory if you're concerned about any potential regression on your website.

*Dont forget do clear your cache manually after*

Have a great day,

Julien
