No stats for 404 page

Hello, I'm wondering why my page is not gathering any 404 entries in to stats panel, there is a mesege that to do so I have to add htacces line "ErrorDocument 404 /404.php" but there is one "ErrorDocument 404 /index.php?controller=404" I tried them both, and single and it doesn't catch 404 entries. Also was trying to disable 404 page override by theme and still don't work. Althought I cannot find the 404.php script to which user should be redirected. Using presta 8.1.7
