/img/p contains 12 millions of inodes for 30k jpg files

hi,

 

 we have a prestashop 1.7 on a server and the /img directory is using 12 millions of inodes. There is 30k image files and something like 5.9 millions of directory having each one "fileType" file.... This means 11.97 millions of  structure prestashop files for 30k images and so something like a 0.25% efficiency

  How is that possible that presashop need 12 millions of inodes to store 30k product images and is there a way to reduce this incredible number ?

 

 Is the 8.x version using the same system to store image files ?

All those files may be remainings of old images, for which the original image got deleted.

Check out the Tidy module, it may help you to delete this kind of files.

 Thanks, with that module I have reduced on a 5000 products store 145000 inodes, that I couldn’t erase. Old images unused.
