Combinations of Product Combinations

Hi,

I have a fresh installation of prestashop and still working things out. I notice with the example stock there are 2 t-shirts black and white.

They are combination items with each size as part of their combinations: so, white shirt in s/m/l/xl are one combination. and the same for the black t-shirt.

I'm also doing clothing but don't want to separate the item into colours I have a shirt that is available in many colours and variable sizes.

How do I add this to my shop so that the colour and the size are options?

Also, I have added a shirt and made it a combination item of black and white, however, unlike the front image it is not possible to choose the first image of the combination (I hope that makes sense)... how do I choose the correct image? I imagine a work around would be to remove the images and then upload them again in the right order... but is there another way?

edit: Still struggling with the combinations but the images it's whatever comes first in the list, which can be rearranged in basic settings.
edit: oh I see, ok, figured out the combinations.
