Need help adding custom field to customer list and customer profile in B.O

Hi,

on PS1.7.43  I have the following extra fields in the ps_customer table

agecheck
agecheckdate

I used overrides and placed both of the fields here.

So that once an age check had been done, we enter Pass and the date of the check.

Then just the "agecheck" field is then shown in the customer list, and order list, so that we know they have passed the check

I am in the process of upgrading and want to do the same on the latest PS version and looks like it is best to do using a module?

Is anybody able to help, as I don't have a clue at creating modules.

 

Ideally, the "Pass" field in the customer editing page would be a toggle with the value as "Pass" or "" (blank) so that "Pass" is shown in the customer list page.

Is anybody able to help with this.

As you can see from the above images, I did get this working perfectly fine in a previous version by using overrides.

So a basic module would be needed to add an extra column on the order page & customer list page (The data is already in the ps_customers table:agecheck)

and on the customer profile page in B.O, both fields would be available to enter/update the information
