Tips on a setup to deal with a test to production environments.

Im planning to move to an AWS litespeed instance from a shared hosting. Can anyone help suggest how to have 2 copies of the same shop - one so i can test on then cut in changes to the production environment.

My idea was to have a local copy of my VPS on VMware workstation then migrate the whole instance to AWS when the changes are good. Maybe i need to have the AWS and prestashop on docker? Maybe just have 2 sets of files (test & prod) and 2 dbs (test & prod) on my AWS instance?Maybe just use XAMPP on my home pc and ftp into production on the VPS?

Maybe there's an entirely better or newer or efficient way to do things?

Any help or ideas would be really welcome!
