How to setup shopping cart expiration time?

Hello, I have 1.7.8.0 and would like to change the expiration time on the shopping cart before they are abandoned. Is it possible to do that and if, where could I do that?

Hi, Sorry if my question was unclear. I

It seams like the shopping carts only are available 24 hours before they gets abandoned. I would like to extend the time to 48 hours in case the customers are coming back again.
