[Prestashop 1.7] - How can I add a new field into Product?

Hello,

I'm new to Prestashop and still learning it.

I want to add a new custom field in the catalog product called is_refundable.

The field should appear in the Admin->Catalog->Product as a boolean dropdown of True/False.

What is the best practice to do it?

I thought about altering the Product table and add a new column there, but I'm not sure if this is the best way to do it.

 

Would be great to hear your feedbacks and ideas.
