Inventory warehouse and billing

Hello

i was wondering if there is a module or preexisiting module which has the feature of maintainign a common inventory between a retail store and the online store. so i have a retail store and a website- if a sale is done in the retail store i have to physically reduce the quantity at the back end and the chances of human error is always there. looking for a module which will reduce the inventory the minute the item is scanned and sold in the retail store.
