An error occurred while editing the category.

Hello,

I have quite a fresh install, and have migrated my categories and products from the current cart. When I try to add category images I get an error,

An error occurred while editing the category.

This error is for trying to edit anything in the category - I can't see any more information about what the error is or how to fix it?

yes, I'd rather not have to recreate my entire category structure from the beginning.

Which version of PrestaShop and php you are using.  Some time PrestaShop php compatibility made problem. If you give the information then we will try to guide.

Secondly ,can you enable the debug mode and post the error  log, it also help to guide more clearly

PHP version: 7.4.21

PrestaShop version: 1.7.7.5

 

Debug mode breaks everything,

Hello, you can check  compatibility, 1.7.7.5 is not compatible in php 7.4

Please downgrade your php to 7.3 and disable debug hope all work fine.

@SmartDataSoftis right use php 7.3 or 7.2
