SMTP issues

I've just downloaded the latest version and cannot get the SMTP set up

I have the server, username, password, Encryption = TLS, Port = 587 all set (I've tried all combinations of ports, encryption at this point) - exactly the same as my local email client

But I just get this error

Failed to authenticate on SMTP server with username "[email protected]" using 2 possible authenticators. Authenticator LOGIN returned Expected response code 235 but got code "535", with message "535 Incorrect authentication data ". Authenticator PLAIN returned Expected response code 235 but got code "535", with message "535 Incorrect authentication data ".

I've tried deleting/recreating the email account, changing the email, but nada - the same error

Never mind

I realised Chrome was auto filling the password field and when you send a test email it must be using the credentials filled in on the page itself

Thank you very much!

535 Issue related to SMTP Auth Type

Either your SMTP not supporting CRM-MD5 Auth Type

You can try Auth Type with PLAIN or LOGIN

Hello, How you solved it?
when I write the email address and password and after I click 'save', the password disappear, is it have to be like that?
