Setting up multiple domains for a single shop

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I want to setup multiple domains for my single shop for example

myshop.com

myshop.fi

How can I achive this? I tried to use bncert-tool to setup ssl certificates for both my domains and both the domains points to the same static IP.

When I open myshop.com, it works good and re-directs to https://myshop.com.

But with myshop.fi, it gives certificate error

Need you expert advise

Hi,

You  can  use   two   domains  for  the  same   shop.

PrestaShop  save   the  shop  url  to the  database  and  only  one  entry  is  possible.

Why  not  just  redirect   one  domain  to  the  main  domain?

Hi,

I have tried re-directing the myshop .fi domain to myshop.com but it shows the  error in the browser as below, I have attached in my initial post.

"Warning: Potential risk ahead"

I have created certificate for both .fi & .com domain using bncert-tool both the error goes away for the domain which is registered in Prestashop database.

Did  you  install the  certificate  in the  main  domain  correctly?

Remove  the  redirection  to test  if  the  main  domain SSL  is  working  .

Yes, certificate is installed correctly for both the domains . But it works correctly one at a time. Whichever domain, I maintain in the Prestashop works good and the one removed get the error for https.
