Issue with Google Sitemap will not install

Hi,

Since a fresh install of PrestaShop version 1.6.1.24 Google sitemap will not install,

1) When i click on Install i receive the following message

2 errors

There was an error while extracting the module (file may be corrupted).

Module Google sitemap cannot be upgraded: Error while extracting the latest version.

2) When i click on the down arrow next to install it does not give me any options like Uninstall, Reset etc.

Prestashop addon modules has Google Sitemap available but there is no download link available.

I did a fresh install of 3 websites and all have exactly the same issue.

I also tried to install the gsitemap-master zipfile and no change.

Any help or suggestion on how to rectify the issue would be appreciated or link to a zip file.

It is not really even recommended anymore to use a sitemap unless your shop is so terribly organized that it cannot be indexed by g other bots.

you can do your own research on the subject...here is example article

what shop managers 'should be doing' is getting proper markup, google structured data.....so uninstall sitemap module and delete the sitemaps via ftp/hosting...
