[Prestashop 1.7] How to deal with cache and promotions

Config :

Prestashop 1.7.6.8
Cache smarty enabled

 

I've searched others topics to answer this question but it seems nobody has this "issue" and it's strange.

When smarty cache is enabled, what can we do to be sure that specific prices are shown at the date we've set them up ? 

The only way is to clear cache but it's not a solution when we have a promotion which has to start next night at 3AM.

Is there a solution to force prices, specific prices to update without manual intervention ?

As far as I noticed so far, smarty cache should not cause any troubles with specific prices, at least on category page and on product pages. Can you describe your problem in details?

With smarty cash enabled, a product with a price of 20€, when I put 10€ discount by adding specific price. Price 10€ is not showing in category page until I clear the cache. The problem is not present in detail page, which shows the correct price.

What theme do you use? Can you try if on classic theme this issue occurs as well?

I will try this, it's a custom theme. I'll keep you posted, thanks
