Creating New Customer without a Password

Is it possible to create a new customer and NOT provide a password? I want to add customers to the back office but I do not want to create an account for them.

And what prevents you from modifying AdminCustomersControllerCore and adding automatic password generation when creating a new customer?

Because I don't want to create an account on behalf of a customer. If they decide to create an account in the future, it will be a bad user experience if the website tells them an account already exists and they didn't know that I created it for them.

I just want to log sales that were made outside of PrestaShop so all my sales are in one place.

And why don't you create a new customer with your name and email?
E.g.
External Customer
[email protected]

PrestaShop uses email as the main identifier for the customer.

You could also create a new GUEST account type. Then when customer would try to create account with same e-mail, he will be able to do this.
