CSS Sprite - GT Metrix

Hi guys,

 

I'm trying improving my website speed with CSS sprite cause have bad reports from GT Metrix :

 

I tried using this code here https://www.toptal.com/developers/css/sprite-generator/  but it seems something doesn't work :

 

I just uploaded the image on the right in my public/img/ folder,  then added the CSS code (on the left screenshot) in my custom.css

I modified the path of the generated code from url('css_sprites.png') >>> url(/img/css_sprites.png)

I then tried to see GT Metrix report, but nothing changed, it seems that the code isn't working.

 

Any idea ?
