How to have different photos for same product in different categories

Hi,

 

I was wondering if anyone has a solution for having one product that is attached to more than one category, and to have different photos per category.

Searched the forums, couldn't find an answer or a module.

 

I have a product that is both in men and women categories, of course i do not want to show men photos in the women category.

Seems to me like a prettry basic functionality that should be out of the box..

You mean in the product list (men and women category) or the product page itself?

Moreover when landing to the product page how do you want it to behave?

You want the unwanted photos hidden as well?

I have the following categories and sub categories:

Clothing > Men

Clothing > Women

 

I want to upload both men and women photos to the product.

The product page will behave just as i described it, if you get to the product from the men category, you will get men photos only, and vice versa.

Same for the category view, if i am in the men category i want only that photos to appear

 

Yes unwanted photos should be hidden.
