how to get a value from a prestashop form

Hi guys, I´am working in a new prestashop module and I need to get a value from a form located in /themes/default-bootstrap/address.tpl. The input has the next values "type=""text" id="postcode name="postcode"   "

anyone can helpe, I read the documentation but since I'm not a developer I didn't understand everything
