Text Editor With Material Icon

Hello,

Looking for a tutorial for adding material icon in my text editor 1.7.6?

It can be done by code but will be nice if i have an icon in my text editor that i choose from.

The result is

I would like to have only icon for me to easier placed in my text editor.

 

Something like this:

when click icon, it will have a dropdown with mutiple material icon to choose from.

 

I tried with font awesome  but it become like this.

Please help!
