What is the PrestaShop Paypal Instant Payment Notification (IPN) URL Please?

I believe I have to set this url up in my paypal account.

Can anyone tell me the name of the page (the first part of the url will clearly be my shop address)

you need a return page that is used as a 'listener' for the IPN checks - the url u choose is entirely up to you but it will need a script to hndle the messages.

You can setup IPN URL at your Paypal account any page, because the Paypal module will overwrite IPN URL when send your customer to Paypal server. No matter what you set at Paypal IPN setting, the module will overwrite it will following URL automatically.

http://yoursitedomain.com/module/paypal/validation.php

So if you really concern about the URL. you set above one at your Paypal account.

the IPN stands for Instance Payment Notification - IPN URL is used for Paypal to send back the payment information to your store/module so that you can validate the order with the payment module. It depend on the payment module you are using.

 

If you are using our Agile Paypal Express Checkout module, the module will pass the IPN url to Paypal so that Paypal knows where to post back the IPN data. But you must enable IPN at your paypal account.
