If I update Prestashop module will it overwrite the language files?

Hi,

In our shop the Bank transfer module is made for OVT-billing (web based invoicing which we create for the customer). This makes it possible for our corporate customers to make an order without paying. Last time I updated the bank transfer module, the language files (Finnish) were "gone by the wind" and I had to write them again.

Now, I´m thinking will this happen again? And do I have to update the module, because I hate the constant job with the language files "gone with the wind". This is not the only time with the modules... I have other things to do than stare at the language files...
