Categories not updating

Hi.

 

Please excuse such a basic question, only I am only just setting out using Prestashop for my new tea/coffee eCommerce website.

Prestashop v1.7.6.5 is successfully installed and so I have the default data installed. I have read it could be troublesome removing the default data using a 'cleaner' module and so I have just made changes to a couple of categories but I cannot get the changes to update and appear in my website (front end). I am sure I am missing something very basic and if someone out there could just advise as to where I am going wrong it REALLY would be appreciated.
