Changing category layout setting

Hello,

I would like to ask for help. Is there a way to change category layout settings from module controller?

F.E: I have set layout category (Design > Theme & Logo > Choose Layouts) as 'Two Columns, small left column - Two columns with a small left column' => layout-left-column, and i would like to change it to 'Two Columns, small right column - Two columns with a small right column' => layout-right-column. It's no problem to change it via Design > Theme & Logo > Choose Layouts, but i would like to make it via module controller.

So, what i need is to make custom module, that will override / force the category layout setting.

I will be appreciate for suggestions.
