maxxmason
HELP! Our server updated yesterday from MySQL 5.6 to 5.7. we were unprepared as the email was missed. As a result our site now has massive errors and is no longer in working order. Does anyone know how to fix this please? We are still running Prestashop 1.6.0.9. We aren't developers but good at following instructions! Thanks in advance Edited August 18, 2020 by maxxmason no longer relevant solved (see edit history)
JBW
Sounds like you have to ask your hoster to deactivate ONLY_FULL_GROUP_BY sql mode:https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.7/en/sql-mode.html#sqlmode_only_full_group_by

maxxmason
Hi I actually found a solution to the Database Exception error. Theres one here that you might want to try in this thread. its worth a try. We were then unable to do a one click upgrade so i rebuilt the site the long way by just exporting all the products etc and then importing and setting it all up again. Took a while. Good luck!
