Security Issue Or Not??? Prestashop Sends A Plaintext Password After Registration....

I have had a quite a few people majorly complain about prestashop sending their password to them in plain text after registration.

Can the devs here on prestashop enlighten us to the security feature behind this process?

Is there a reason prestashop is setup this way?

I need to figure out the best course of action before I have major issue. How can I fix this issue?

Well I have another customer complaining about their password being sent to them in plain text. Is there a way to secure the passwords that come from the site? Have I over looked some feature that might solve this issue for me in the new 1.4.2.5?

there would be no point in sending the password encrypted to the user, it would be meaningless to them. You could remove the password field from the mail template, or change the code so it does not send the mail at all.
