SSL problem - Is it my site or hosting company

Hello all

About to go live with my site but another hurdle to overcome first.

I am using latest 1.4.0.17 Prestahsop version hosted on a dedicated ip address with uk2net.

I have also installed the sagepay module to process payments which was working fine in test mode

I have auto generated a CSR/SSL certificate with my host as it came with my package. Set up correctly I beleive and then I enable ssl in my prestashop store but when (in any browser) i go to checkout i get the following errors

There is a problem with this website's security certificate.

The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority.

Any idea why this may be? In my hosting panel it said it was set up succesful.

Hope someone can help

Rob

Good afternoon Hups,

it is a good thing that you secure your prestashop.

If you want to avoid these error messages you always have, then it is preferred to avoid installing auto-generated SSL certificates from your server. The solution is to take SSL certificates from known and trusted Certificate Authorities like VeriSign, GlobalSign, thawte, GeoTrust, RapidSSL.

Networking4all can offer you their SSL Certificate.

Internal options like auto-generated SSL certificates to turn https on is a solution not to use because you will always have these error messages and as a consequence frighten your customers.

If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate, I would be more than happy to help and advise you.

Good day,

you can check here by pasting your URL.

And you will see the problems you have. It seems to be an intermediate problem for the site https://www.jollyhosting.com/clients/cart.php?a=add&pid=21

If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate, we would be more than happy to help you.
