Presta 1.7: Inventory Upload stops MID-WAY over errors? Why not complete the good items?

Why does Presta 1.7 (and probably all other versions?) come to a complete halt during a bulk product upload if there is an error?

Why doesn't it proceed to completion with the good items that have no errors? Also, why does it fail on products that other shopping carts have no problem with? Presta is the only cart that throws my inventory spreadsheet out of the pram, and it doesn't always say why, unless it's do to with word limit, which l can rectify. Example: l'm told my description isn't valid. That's all. But it is valid, it is good for other carts and marketplaces. But to Presta, it's not valid, and moreover, Presta abandons the entire inventory upload just because of that one product that it doesn't like, because for some reason the description is invalid.

It's hard work to re-match column headings for each new upload attempt, only for the upload to completely halt over one error. Also, the matching of column headings has no sense, no intelligence. The software should at least attempt a match before forcing human intervention.
