URL's and Duplicate content

I am hoping to get some insight into the source of Duplicate Content on prestashop. I am a programmer and I have been able to reduce my duplicate content recognized by google in html suggestions of webmaster tools down to only 3 URLS. But for the life of me I can not find the source of the duplication to fix it.

Since there are so few I thought about doing the 301 redirect, but 2 issues arose: first I would like to fix the root so I am not having to continue to add 301's. Then when I tried to 301 redirect in htaccess presta plopped on the product id as a parameter automatically (UGH-example http://www.superior-dollhouse-miniatures.com/dollhouse-porch/3967-victorian-gazebo-porch.html?id_product=3967).

I dont want to use the canonical tags- I want to fix the root problem.

I dont have any other languages installed besides English.

Prefer not to use 3rd party mods, as my cart is pretty customized. Just would like some insight/ideas as to anywhere that may derive the URL without the category name in it. I really hope it isnt something that someone can freely link to since I would want them to link to the 'good url'.

Any thoughts as to where this extra URL without the category name could be coming from? How about why presta adds on the parameter with a redirect such as redirect 301 http://www.superior-dollhouse-miniatures.com/3967-victorian-gazebo-porch.html http://www.superior-dollhouse-miniatures.com/dollhouse-porch/3967-victorian-gazebo-porch.html

Sorry I cant help you.
I really shouldn't but I do take some comfort knowing Im not the only one thats spent all day looking for elusive links.
I will take a look. I will also re-check my bookmarks, Im sure I saw A tool for this kind of thing.
