There is no changes in .htacces file located in the root folder of the Prestashop 1.6.1.20 regardless I set up 301 or 302 redirection in BO admin -> Preferences -> "SEO & URLs" Telling the truth there is no such a string inside .htaccesss file like "[R=301]" or "[R=302]" Is it correct or not? Where does Prestashop set up REDIRECTION 301 or 302? Is it .htacces file or somewhere else?

I use Prestashop 1.6 In Preference>SEO & URLS. I changed my SCHEMA OF URLS>Route to products from: {category:/}{id}-{rewrite}{ean13}.html to : {id}-{rewrite}.html I liked how the URL no longer had the category and ean13. Thought that by cleaning up the URL, It will help with SEO When I search one of my products on Google and find it, I click on it and get an Error 404 I notice the URL from the Google search is still the old one. Ex: Google search ADD36429824 LG Refrigerator Door Assembly Search results URL : https://usapartsandmore.com/kitchen/3360-ADD36429824-LG-Refrigerator-Door-Assembly-Right-ADD73076303-ADC52734322.html New product URL : https://usapartsandmore.com/3360-ADD36429824-LG-Refrigerator-Door-Assembly-Right-ADD73076303-ADC52734322.html What do i need to do so Google knows I changed the URL of all my products? How can I fix this problem? Please help

It's a bit of a "pain in the ass" to have to translate manually all the "SEO & URLs" section and country names...

I have the Clean URLs module working perfectly, however, is it possible to have the category URL path consist of only the sub-category without the parent category path? I sell officially licensed merchandise and have created the following category menu structure: Designs > Officially Licensed > Band Name Which creates this URL: domain.com/designs/officially-licensed/band-name/ For the band's merchandise page I need this to be the URL: domain.com/band-name What is the best way to achieve this? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated,

Ciao a tutti, Ho un problema quando accedo ad impostazioni-SEO & URLs: aprendo qualsiasi pagina il Firefox mi ritorna una pagina bianca (IE invece l'equivalente pagina non trovata). E' un bug di prestashop o ho mancato in qualche configurazione? Grazie in anticipo per i suggerimenti. Ciao.

Hi all, Need a bit help. I'm not sure if this has been asked before, if so, pls forgive me. I just installed prestashop 1.6, with MOJO market place, 1 click install. So far my url would start with an ip address as, http://69.195.124.222/~noayamco/shop/index.php? I was hoping if there is a way to change it to start as below, http://www.noayam.com/shop/index.php? within this url, it goes right to index page, however it changes the url back again that starts with an ip. Is there any way to modify it so while visitors at my site will see only the www instead of the ip? I understand that in preferences - SEO & URLs there is data as below, Shop domain 69.195.124.222 SSL domain 69.195.124.222 Base URI /~noayamco/shop/ Can I simply modify above? what should I change? or besides this there are other modification needed? Thank you.

I keep getting a 404 error whenever I try to click on the preferences > seo& urls tab. If I delete the file and reinstall, it appears for a second until I click any links. I can't add any metadata, please help! Prestashop v 1.5.0.17

Hallo, Immer, wenn ich im BO (v 1.4.7.0 mit SSL) unter -> Voreinstellungen -> SEO & URLs im index.php die meta tags (descr. und keywords) ändern möchte, werden bei mir im Shop keine Bilder mehr angezeigt ! Ändere ich auch noch die meta tags der 'Verkaufshits', bekomme ich nur noch 404er angezeigt ! Kann mir jemand helfen ? LG, Vivi

Bonjour, Suite à quelques recherches sur la toile, je me tourne vers vous (en espérant être dans le bon topic) car j'ai un problème avec ma modification de raccourcissement URL. Mon site Pinklemon.fr a donc été créé via client FTP Filezilla. Donc, comme je disais, après quelques recherches sur le net via articles presse et vidéos, certains montraient comment faire concrètement le raccourcissement URL (Pour ce qui ne voient pas ce qu'est l'URL rewriting c'est passer de cette type d'URL : http://monsite.com/product/product=p32? à ceci : http://monsite.com/gadget-high-tech/speaker-iphone). Après être connecté sur le BackOffice, avoir cliqué sur l'onglet Préférences, ensuite sur SEO&URLS, en descendant la page il y à : URL simplifiée. Après avoir coché oui, on demande de recréer un fichier .htaccess et apparemment, le tour est joué. Or, dans mon cas, après avoir tenté plusieurs fois l'opération, en recréant ce fichier .htaccess, mon site internet n'est plus disponible (Sauf ma page d'accueil) ni mon BackOffice, et même après remodifier le .htaccess en Php5, il n'est toujours pas dispo, je dois donc faire un Clean URL pour retomber sur mon BackOffice pour décocher l'URL simplifiée. Ce qui bien sûr, ne règle en rien mon problème pour faire de l'URL rewriting. Je tiens bien évidemment à préciser qu'après avoir coché l'URL simplifée mon URL d'un produit est bien comme ceci : http://monsite.com/gadget-high-tech/speaker-iphone mais la page n'est pas apparente. Neue Bilder funktionieren nicht mehr seit auf SEO & URLs (+ .htaccess neu generiert) umgestellt wurde: Die Bildadressen im Browser: http://www.domain.de/116-477-medium/produkt-nr-39.jpg http://www.domain.de/-medium/produkt-nr-150.jpg (eh klar gibts nicht) Nr. 1 funktioniert ( ist ein älterer Eintrag) Nr. 2 (neues Produkt) funktioniert nicht Lösungsansätze? Die Bilder werden einfach nicht in das richtige Verzeichnis hochgeladen. :-(

Even i have been editing the Titles and urls, when i look at settings they are not updated.... Here are updated the links... but no changes in front (not front office) See, they are edited... I've been clearing my cookies and cache, and not differents.

Ciao a tutti, come da titolo ho modificato le voci ( ES. best-sales.php - prices-drop.php, ecc, ecc ) traducendole in italiano e aggiungendo le keywords in seo & urls, da li in poi effetto catastrofe, ovvero con il friendly url attivato (url semplificato) qualsiasi pagina tranne la home dà come estensione /error404. Premetto che uso prestashop da più di due anni e ho cercato nel forum, ho provato a rigenerare l' .htaccess ma nulla da fare. Possibili soluzioni? Ringrazio tutti coloro che proveranno a darmi una mano.

Bonjour, la page d'accueil de mon site redirige automatiquement vers l'ancien site de test. Voila, j'ai installé dans un dossier test mon nouveau site à l'adresse naishprocenterleucate.com pour le tester en ligne, une fois ce site fonctionnel, je l'ai installé à son adresse définitive : glissemarketshop.com le transfert c'est bien passé, jusqu'à ce que je mette à jour ma base de données. Je suis allé sur SEO & URLs pour remplacer l'adresse de l'ancien site de test : naishprocenterleucate. com par glissemarketshop.com, j'ai vérifié que la modification avait bien été prise en compte dans la base de données, mais rien à faire, impossible d'accéder à ma page d'accueil et quand je tente dans SEO & URLs de modifier des meta données sur une des pages, j'ai l'erreur suivante : Impossible de parcourir le répertoire racine Je ne sais plus quoi faire, j'ai vidé mon fichier .htaccess, pour tenter de le régénéré mais idem, impossible de le régénéré, j'ai donc supprimé les URL simplifié, j'ai essayé de forcer la compilation, de supprimer le cache mais rien à faire, la page d'accueil de glissemarketshop.com redirige toujours vers naishprocenterleucate.com Je suis désespéré, merci de votre aide, Agnès BH

I want to know what will happen if I ignore this message ?
