Hello to PrestaShop Experts. What is the BEST and most compatible version of PHP that one may select? I am currently using: PHP 5.3.26 (I am in control of using any version up to the latest available) MySQL 5.5.32-cll PrestaShop 1.5.6 (currently, the latest stable release) ONLY EXPERT ADVICE PLEASE (PrestaShop members -OR- only from those who have tested various version and have reached to their conclusion). THANK YOU IN ADVANCE. (note that I have read PrestaShop's suggestion and that of other authors; they have outdated / conflicting information...)

Hi Everyone, I am Zack, I am new to Prestashop, and new to I.T., I never knew how to run a Online store, please guide me as a newbie, please i am using 1.5.6.0, with a premium Theme, and i want to know following: 1- Best practices 2-backup to-do's and dont's 3-how to temporarily make my prices, shown as "0" everywhere, until we decide taxation, and other fundamental setups and structures. how about if i update my software ver to 1.6 as the theme supports it, then can i somehow export theme to latest 1.7.3 ? 4- should i update the modules ? (asking as from compatibility aspect) 5-can i shift my store from link www.abc.com/ps (subdirectory) to new link www.abc.com (not a redirect but shift the whole setup) godaddy provides an option to resotre the store to another location if restoring an earlier backup. can i edit my theme layout main page ? or all pages? please check this store http://nksparts.com/ps

Salve, scrivo questa guida in quanto non ho trovato molto sul web e spero sia utile. E' necessaria un minimo di conoscenza con db mysql e classi php. File da modificare: FRONT-END - themes/NOME_TEMA/autentication.tpl - controllers/front/AuthController.php - classes/Customer.php ADMIN - controllers/admin/AdminCustomersController.php STEP 1 – Aggiunta del campo al front end Inserire dove si desidera un campo di input nel file themes/NOME_TEMA/autentication.tpl Esempio: <p class="required text"><input name="vistisu" type="text" id="vistisu" /><label for="vistisu">{l s='Come ci hai conosciuti?'}</label></p> STEP 2 – modifica del controller che esegue la registrazione dell’utente Nel file controllers/front/AuthController.php trovare la funzione: protected function processSubmitLogin() E inserire dopo : $customer = new Customer(); questo codice: $_POST['vistisu'] =Tools::getValue(‘vistisu’); Spiegazione: la funzione processSubmitLogin() crea un utente durante la registrazione, (ricordo che ci sono 2 modi per registrarsi un prestashop: tramite registrazione semplice o durante il checkout). L’oggetto $customer una volta inizializzato dovrà ricevere il parametro del campo che abbiamo creato. Inizializzando una variabile in $_POST attraverso la classe statica Tools con getValue(‘nome_campo_creato’) andiamo a prendere il testo che è stato scritto nell’input box con lo stesso name passato. Ora inseriamo il campo anche per la funzione che crea l’account durante il checkout: troviamo la funzione protected function processSubmitAccount() e inseriamo $customer->vistisu = $_POST[‘vistisu’]; All’interno dell’istruzione: if (!count($this->errors)) Spiegazione: la funzione crea un account durante la fase di checkout. L’istruzione if(!count($this->errors)) verifica che non ci siano errori prima di eseguire la creazione ($customer->add()). L’istruzione che abbiamo inserito andrà a popolare una variabile pubblica della classe customers in modo da registrarla all’interno del database. STEP 3 – Creazione del campo nel DB Eseguiamo questa SQL direttamente dal nostro database: ALTER TABLE `PREFISSO_TBL_customer` ADD `vistisu` VARCHAR( 256 ) Sostituiamo PREFISSO_TBL con il prefisso della nostra tabella e assicuriamoci che il campo creato di default sia NULL. STEP 4 – Creiamo la variabile ‘vistisu’ nella classe Customer Apriamo il file classes/Customer.php e inseriamo subito dopo l’apertura della classe: public $vistisu; poi troviamo la variabile statica: public static $definition = array(…. E aggiungiamogli: 'foundus' => array('type' => self::TYPE_STRING, 'validate' => 'isString', 'size' => 256), nella posizione esatta dove si trova il campo vistisu che abbiamo creato prima nella tabella (solitamente ultima posizione). Avremo qualcosa del genere: …. 'date_add' => array('type' => self::TYPE_DATE, 'validate' => 'isDate', 'copy_post' => false), 'date_upd' => array('type' => self::TYPE_DATE, 'validate' => 'isDate', 'copy_post' => false), 'vistisu' => array('type' => self::TYPE_STRING, 'validate' => 'isString', 'size' => 256), ), ); Spiegazione: Aggiungiamo la variabile $vistisu alla classe customers per far si che prenda il valore che inseriamo nell’input di testo da front-end. L’inserimento della stringa nella variabile statica $definition ci permette di andare a scrivere nel DB attraverso una funzione SQL di prestashop. TYPE_STRING indica che è una stringa, ‘isString’ è un controllo per verificare che il contenuto del campo input che abbiamo creato sia una stringa e size=> indica la lunghezza massima che abbiamo definito al campo vistisu nel DB. ULTIMO STEP – Creazione campo nel back end sezione “Clienti” Apriamo il file: Controllers/admin/AdminCustomersController.php Cerchiamo $this->fields_list = array(… Aggiungiamo: ‘vistisu’ => array( 'title' => $this->l('Come ci conosce?'), 'width' => 70, ), Appena dopo una qualsiasi chiusura ), del campo. In questo modo nella tab clienti dell’admin ci apparira la classica tabella con tutti i nomi degli utenti registrati e la colonna “Come ci conosce?” nella posizione dove l’abbiamo inserita. Je pense qu'il me manque quelque chose au niveau de mes modifications. - Je sais comment ajouter une nouvelle liste de Tri. Hi, I have freshly installed Prestashop 1.5.6.1 version on localhost as well as my shared hosting with network solutions. Almost everything seems fine. I'm still checking it. But one thing i found out is I can't upload images to products either way. Whether I try to upload products through CSV or create a new product through back office. I tried to do some research but nothing comes up which can work for me. I can only upload images of maximum size upto 30kb that's really small. All I see is "An error occurred while copying the image." Directory permissions - checked as 777 recursive. Any help or advice will surely be helpful. Thanks

Buongiorno a tutti, abbiamo acquistato il modulo danea export 1.5 di Planete-I e stavamo provando ad aggiungerlo in prestashop 1.5.6, ma restituisce questi 2 errori: Il modulo seguente (s) non è stato possibile caricare:daneaexport (errore di analisi in /modules/daneaexport/daneaexport.php) daneaexport (classe mancante in /modules/daneaexport/daneaexport.php) Tuttavia nonostante abbia girato il codice credo che l'errore stia nel fatto che probabilmente non è compatibile con la 1.5.6. Come posso risolvere il problema? Quale parte di codice dovrei modificare? Qualcuno ha mai riscontrato e risolto questo problema? Grazie a tutti coloro che vorranno dare una mano! :-)

Hello everyone. I've a problem with my prestashop webstore! Hello All, Recently I observed that in my Prestashop 1.5.6 version TinyMCE disappeared in all Products, Categories and CMS modules. Screen shot attached and below is the error I get in debug mode. I have not done any changes since a long time, but I don't know why. I have done all research as defined in previous topics but none has helped. Bonjour, Ma boutique est bâtie sous Prestashop 1.5.6.2. Beaucoup de produits appartiennent à plusieurs catégories. Actuellement, sur chaque page produit, le fil d'Ariane affiché est relatif à la catégorie par défaut à laquelle appartient le produit. Prenons un exemple : - le produit p1 appartient à sa catégorie par défaut C1 - et le produit p1 appartient aussi à la catégorie C2 Quand un visiteur accède au produit p1, quel que soit le chemin qu'il a emprunté, le fil d'Ariane affiché est : Accueil > C1 Je souhaiterais que le fil d'Ariane affiché soit relatif au chemin qu'a suivi le visiteur pour atteindre le produit. Si le visiteur est passé par la page catégorie C2 avant d'atteindre le produit p1, je souhaiterais que le fil d'Ariane affiché soit : Accueil > C2 Ainsi, si le produit p1 n'est pas conforme aux attentes du visiteur, il pourra facilement remonter le fil d'Ariane vers la catégorie C2, où il pourra trouver des produits alternatifs à p1. Pour changer le fil d'Ariane, je suppose que je dois faire des modifications dans les fichiers suivants : - /controllers/front/ProductController.php - and themes/montheme/breadcrumb.tpl Mais je n sais pas précisément quelles modifications faire. When a costumer converts his points into a voucher the voucher does not go in effect immediately, and looking at back office i see that it goes in effect at midnight of that day! I searched around and found someone who had a similar problem and in the loyalty-program.php he changed the code from $cartRule->date_from = date('Y-m-d H:i:s', $dateFrom); to $cartRule->date_from = date('Y-m-d H:i:s', $dateFrom - 86400); and apparently for him it worked, but for me it doesn't. Is there any solution to that? How can i make the voucher to go into effect immediately? Thanks in advance.

'block' : 'none'; return false">[line 53 - administracion/index.php]</a> - [0 Argument]</li> </ul> Carga solo el primer producto del csv pero no lo asocia con las categorias y tampoco carga la imagen, si intento cargar a imagen desde la ficha del producto me da error undefined, desde la ficha si puedo asociar las categorias, pero el csv se corta y no continua con la carga dandome este error, si elimino en el csv el producto ya cargado y vuelvo a subir el nuevo csv, vuelve a repetir e error cuando carga el primer producto del csv. He mirado en Google las soluciones que se dan al problema de importar csv en los foros pero ninguna me ha solucionado mi problema concreto, cuando tenia la versión 1.5.2 cargaba correctamente los productos y con esta versión tengo este problema, agradeceria cualquier solución que pudierais darme. Hola, un saludo. He actualizado mi tienda de 1.5.6 a 1.6.0.8 Módulo 1-click (esto en modo de prueba antes de actualizar), todo ha ido bien, excepto la página donde aparecen el listado de pedidos, no sale con la estadistica y si se entra al detalle del pedido aparece todo mal y sin estilo. Ver imagen adjunta. Vi la solución hace un mes en algún post en el foro, pero me olvidé de guardarlo como acostumbro y ahora no lo encuentro. Cualquier idea?? Al activar los errores me arroja unos errores que en una tienda instalada en limpio no sale. Ver imagen adjunta. Espero alguien pueda darme alguna idea.

Bonjour, J'ai un gros problème avec un projet Prestashop 1.5.6 . Je perd le transporteur lors du processus de commande. Tout se passe bien jusqu’à l'étape 5 (paiement). I have installed PrestaShop™ 1.5.6.1 with products in several languages Front office is ok but when I access products listing from back office, it only shows the first page while returning an empty list when trying to access additional pages of products lists I have tried everything but I cannot find any solution please help

Alguien que me diga que pudeo estar haciedno mal, ya modifique los archivos settings .inc. php asi como la base de datos para dirigirlo al nuevo dominio y nada, no aparece mi tienda, solo una pantalla en blanco, ahora que si activo el modo debug aparece la siguiente linea de error: Fatal error: Class 'Shop' not found in /homepages/30/d529307497/htdocs/homedir/public_html/config/config.inc.php on line 95 Alguien me puede ayudar

Buenos días a todos!! Llevo mucho tiempo visitando este foro y me habéis ayudado mucho anteriormente a resolver las dudas y problemillas que iban surgiendo en mi página web, de lo cual estoy tremendamente agradecido. Sin embargo, nunca había tenido la necesidad de abrir yo un tema propio, pero no he encontrado por el foro ningún topic relacionado con la consulta que os voy a hacer. Allá va. Tengo una tienda on-line de venta de recambios para camiones bajo la versión Presashop 1.5.6. y el tema de MegaShop aunque bastante modificado. Dentro de la tienda hay unos productos reacondicionados que se denominan de "intercambio", es decir, el cliente compra el producto reparado y a cambio nos envía su pieza averiada a nosotros. De esta forma el producto le sale mucho más barato que si tuviera que comprarlo nuevo. Es como una reparación, pero el cliente no tiene que esperar el tiempo que se tarda en reparar ya que se lleva en primer lugar la pieza ya reacondicionada. Lo que deseo hacer es que cuando el cliente compra alguna de esas piezas de intercambio, en el carrito de la compra se añada automáticamente, y de forma obligatoria, un nuevo producto llamado "casco del producto de intercambio", que será como una señal que se lo cobra al cliente y que posteriormente se le abonará en cuanto recibamos su pieza averiada. Tengo los cascos de cada producto de intercambio creados como una referencia en sí misma (con el estado activo pero oculto en la tienda), pero no se como vincularlo al producto. No me sirve como accesorio porque así sólo consigo que aparezca en la pestaña a modo de sugerencia, pero necesito que sea obligatorio. Gracias de antemano por toda la ayuda que podáis prestarme. Hola tengo un problema con la actualización de la tienda a 1.6. Actualmente tengo instalado el prestashop 1.5.6.0 y funciona pero quería actualizar la tienda a 1.6 sigueindo los pasos que decían hice un backup de la base de datos al igual que de los archivos y puse el letrero de mantenimiento para el dominio pero al momento de dar clic en ¡actualizar ahora! comienza la descarga de los archivos pero a los pocos segundos sale un error de descarga. En un principio pensé que era un problema de espacio por lo que cambié la tienda de servidor pero cuando lo vuelve a intentar vuelve a salir el siguiente error: [Ajax / Server Error for action download] textStatus: "error " errorThrown:"Internal Server Error " jqXHR: " " No se si afecte pero el tema que estoy utilizando es hecho por mi no descargado de algún portal pero tiene como base el default theme por lo que creería yo no tendría problema en funcionar en prestashop 1.6. Además he intentado actualizar los módulos dando clic en actualizar pero apenas sale que se actualizó correctamente y vuelvo a entrar a la página de módulos vuelven a salir para actualizar. Hallo, ich betreibe noch einen Onlineshop mit Prestashop 1.3.7.0 und möchte jetzt in einem weiteren Unterverzeichnis Prestashop 1.5.6. installieren. Der alte Shop soll aber so lange weiterexistieren bis PS 1.5.6. installiert ist und das Theme konfiguriert ist. Leider werde ich bereits bei der Installation http://my-side.de/shop-new/install/index.php immer direkt zum alten 1.3.7.0 PS Onlineshop geleitet und es kommt die Meldung, dass diese Seite nicht verfügbar ist. Hat jemand eine Idee warum das so ist und wie ich das Problem löse?

Hello Friends, There was bug in prestashop's all versions of 1.5 in Block Cart module. By default block cart module gets hooked in top of header and one can transplant this module in right column if needed. I have added this module in right column and when I add product in cart, products gets added on cart in header but not gets added to cart in right column. When I reload page then all seems fine.
