  1. Hi all, I was hoping that someone could help me with a little problem i cant seem to find an answer for looking back through the topics forum. I was hoping to set up my products with a free delivery service for over $99 purchase but was looking to have specific (bigger items) still attracting a delivery fee if purchased. I have tried to create a cart rule and have all the eligible items in linked to one category that applies the rule (enter in a code in the promo section and the postage is free) and have the bigger items in another category that doesn't have the rule apply, but i find that during check out if it all works 100% with the items eligible for free delivery and the rule works well but if i add in one item from the bigger items then the free delivery still applies. Is there anyway to get the cart to distinguish the difference between the items and have it apply a delivery charge accordingly. Or does anyone know of a add-on that i can purchase that will do this? (In short i am looking for a way like Amazon that can apply free delivery to eligible purchases over the amount of a specific $ amount but still charge a delivery fee for others if purchased in one transaction) I am using Prestashop V 1.7.4.3 Thank you for any help provided. David
  2. I just launched my shop yesterday and found a problem. Out of the 300 products we offer, a few do not behave in the shopping cart when a customer tries to check out. I have encountered 3 distinct problems which do not overlap with each other: 1. Shipping will increase $6.65 per item, regardless of the weight or dimension of product. 2. No carriers will be available 3. A free shipping promo code results in no carriers being available (this even happens with products which behave themselves). Other information to help you help me: - Using PS version 1.6.1.4 - We use just one shipment module, the All-in-one USPS made by Prestashop. - This module works perfectly when I have any of the 200+ non-problem products in the cart. - When I compare the problem products with the non-problem products, there is no difference in the settings. Is this a problem anyone else has had? How do I fix it? Do I need to buy one of Presta-Shop's support plans? I don't do any coding myself, so I can't fix it by looking at the code. Thanks for helping this newbie!
  3. Hi Guys, I'm having a massive issue getting shipping costs right in the UK. The way Royal mail works is it's done by size and weight, but there are different services which overlap. If you look here you can see the Royal Mail size and weight pricing. http://www.royalmail.com/sites/default/files/RM_Our_Prices_OCt2013.pdf My issue is I created all the different carriers as the different types of postage e.g. Letter, Large Letter, Small Parcels, Medium and the associated weights and costs. However when I added 4 greeting cards to my basket which don't weigh much and are small in size they should easily fit in a large envelope and go by Royal Mail large letter, however Prestashop adds it up to small parcel so from 90p it then charges them £3 which is crazy. (All max weights and sizes are set in back office) How does prestashop total up weights and sizes? I've added the size but I cannot work out how Prestashop even comes up with charging £3. Currently I use prices but the issue with this is I either charge too little or too much which either puts people off or eats in to my profit. Are there any modules out there to overcome this? Will the new version of Prestashop 1.6 have more shipping options? Has anyone else who uses Royal mail found a solution? I would be very grateful for any assistance. Cheers, Andy
  4. I’m using PrestaShop 1.6 (default theme) and the standard PrestaShop cart. and its the carriers postage posting and post section , i am not using any module its all in std for Multiple carriers for same order over charging 2 couriers All postal prices per items / products we charge by weight only to deliver in the UK 2 couriers and the system works perfect in each separate group a> Letter post ( small Items cheap to post ) "weight to correct postage price " b> Parcel Post ( large items cost more ) "weight to correct postage price " so if All products are in A> group "Letter post" all postage works and checks out perfect to weight value All products are in B> group "Parcel Post" all postage works and checks out perfect to weight value and if 2X All products are in B> group "Parcel Post"priced from weight say £3.20 ( 250g x 2 = 500g weight ) = £3.20 postage in total price to post 1X products are in A> group "Letter post"priced from weight £1.25 ( 20g ) in total price to post normally by its self but when ordered together 500g +220g both A> B> set at = £3.20 for default carrier because its under 1,000g weight This is not happening and the customer is getting charged £3.20 + £1.25 -=£4.45 ( and NOT just 1,000g at £3.20 this is an example and we have a lot of small low tickets items and now daily getting dropped carts because of this issue It charges correct for each group carriers BUT THEN ADDS both A. and B> together NOT the TOTAL WEIGHT as it should charge as a combination I did set up the default weight carrier to be B> group "Parcel Post" just for this problem but not doing this either So now its over changing postal by adding them both together when NOT combining the weight and defaulting to the price of the weight to postal B> prices please help ......... :-( Ste
  5. Hi I run a UK store, and I would like to offer my products to the whole of Europe, how do I set postage costs by Country and not Zones. Example: Product X Delivery to Spain, Product X Delivery to Holland Product X Delivery to Italy
  6. I have set up a uk store, which at the moment only offers delivery to the UK. I would like to offer delivery to the whole of Europe. Each country within Europe has it's own postage cost.. I can see postage by zone but I need postage by Country Any Ideas?
  7. Hi there, At the moment, I have a client using 1.4.6 and he's due an upgrade shortly as we're moving away from Paypal to Worldpay (horror stories aplenty with Paypal!!) He often needs to add additional costs to an order that has already been processed and paid for (shipping generally) as he deals world-wide and often needs to supplement the costs and charge the client more. Worldpay does not have a 'send invoice' function like paypal, so I was wondering how I could set this up in Prestashop. Could I employ one of the following solutions via module or otherwise: 1. send the client (from their order) a demand for additional payment to be appended to their existing order 2. easily create a product that only they can see if they log in again, that they can then pay the additional shipping cost or fee, like buying a normal product 3. Create a custom order from the B.O. that can then be sent to the customer for payment Any ideas or suggestions greatly welcomed - and bear in mind this has to happen AFTER the order has been placed and paid for. Regards, torb
  8. Hello, I set up 3 shipping options which were all working fine but I have just added another option and now only 1 is available. I was wondering whether anyone has any ideas why this may have happend? When I get to the delivery phase of the checkout it says: There is 1 error, There are no carriers that deliver to the address you selected. Any ideas would be most welcome. Thanks! Matt
  9. Hi all, I'm asking these questions in one topic because I felt it would help lessen the amount of new topics I create! Question 1: When I add an item to my basket/cart, the postage is applied correctly (6 gbp). However, when I click to add a SECOND item to the same cart, the postage does not apply again, and rather assumes that the first postage cost that was applied will cover both items in the cart. Im only selling one type of item (t shirts), is there a way I can set a UNIVERSAL postage cost for each zone? (eg. Europe 6 gbp, America and rest of the world 10 gbp etc.) Along with a rule that states every additional item will be 4 gbp exra (If they're going to the same address).? Question 2: My site is www.stilllivelucky.com. I was doing some editing to remove ''SPECIALS'' from the bottom of my site. I succeeded in removing the whole section, but unfortunately, the sections ''INFORMATION'' and MY ACCOUNT'' do not line up. Can anyone help me to fix this? (you can see what I'm talking about if you scroll to the bottom of the front page). Thanks in advance.
  10. My carrier has $0.25 increments for every additional 10g. This means that I have to enter a lot of weights and cents in the Add Carrier page. However, the Add Carrier page is too short and has no scrollbar so the number of rates I can enter is limited. I've attached a pic to illustrate. I tried to solve this problem by pushing my Chrome browser some distance outside my monitor and then pulling the side still in the frame of my monitor to expand it. However, that only worked for a few more rates. Is there a better way to do this or do I have to create a new carrier for the rates I couldn't enter?
  11. Hi I have a website we-do-bling using prestashop 1.4 and i have set it up to use one page checkout system. There is a box that says use same delivery address as billing address ( always ticked) - not tested yet with an alternative address (see last email). If you un-tick the box you are prompted to add an address ( not followed this route until last email cleared). However, if you re-tick the box, you lose control on choice of postage!!! It comes back if you "reload" the page...but that's messy ( I'm only thinking some people will un-tick it by mistake or change their minds! Normally when you do this you can select the postage afterwards but this becomes locked for some reason – it is a bit odd though. Can anyone help or does anyone have any suggestions? Kind Regards Tim
  12. Hi all, please excuse me if this has been covered, I am new to the forum and to Prestashop. We have recently launched our website with Prestashop, however we seen to have an issue with the shipping fee. The site does show the fees for shipping and does in turn add to the checkout. However when the customer goes to pay using PayPal or Google payment options the shipping amount is taken out? Can anyone possibly point me in the right direction please, I can get around the back of house generally if it is that easy to correct. Many thanks in advance to anyone who can assist. Thanks Graeme
